In order to honor the memory of Vasyl Tershakovec, a dedicated teacher of amny years of the School of Ukrainian Studies in the name of Lesia Ukrainka, his wife and children have established a foundation in his name. The purpose of the foundation is to support the gifted children of our school and help them to become better acquanted with Ukraine and its history.
This is a great honor for our children because Mr. Tershakovec lived for Ukraine, concerned himself with her problems and believed in her future. This foundation is a memorial to a true patriot of Ukraine, Vasyl Tershakovec, and, with love and gratitude, his students remember their beloved teacher who truly was a little piece of Ukraine on American soil.
